"Fair and Square"

Here are a few of the confetti blocks that I had made last week and cut to the 6.5" size for the workshop.

Fair and Square is the title Amanda Jean gave to this quilt pattern.

Since I had cut another set of the sashings at the workshop, I sewed most of this together last night, and finished it after church.

So this makes a third top for Margaret's Hope Chest made this weekend.

Don't you just love those little scraps that some people just toss into the waste basket. I sit and sew scraps together, square up the large piece made from scraps, cut blocks at 4-5 inches square and add black or another neutral color to finish the quilt. You can see what I'm talking about at my blogspot:

Happy quilting.

Good job! We call those blocks crumb blocks around here and I have a collection of them that I plan on putting together in a quilt- with no swashing- just crumbs.
